I've been searching and found tons of things, but no answers to this question:

What is the cylinder object coming out of the grill? It says "Electro-Tech Inc" and has a string hanging from it... Hopefully it's something I can hook back up and have fun with!

You can use the string to hang a cat from...Its loads of laughs as you drive down the road! Think of the looks you'll get!! (Sorry to all the cat lovers...Its only a little humor...No actual cats were harmed in the creation of this post)

Or for the Robo-impact tool 24v. torque wrench, you can change/dismount your tires and eveyone elses for that matter as long as your truck is up and running, I have wonder if this would be a good temp. 24v. source for a removavle 24v. winch. Any Idea???

The only place I know of is Ebay now our days, Keep an eye in the classified section of SS, I have seen a couple over the years. I Got 2 from DP military supplys(?) 5-6 years back there are several vertions and volts (two 24v. versions widely use by the US MIL. forces) = 30amp. 1/2 drive pistol version and a 3/4 D-handle versrsion they have 350ft.lbs.-2500 impacts/min. and a very LONG cable with the NATO plug. with my 60" Xtreme Hi-Lift and portable air compresor, makes tolerable the occacional trail mishaps. Maybe you can get info at Aircraft Dynamics | Fire Fighting Equipment | Military Supplies | Industrial Power Products or (800)874-4702. The military paid aover $2,000e., so surplus is the way to go...

Yup. A winch would be no problem.

The slave receptacle gets all the electrons the batteries and charging system can produce.

The Robo-tools impact wrench will remove any thing on a CUCV but sometimes needs hardware broken loose first on a deuce and larger trucks. We use a combination of a 3/4" Swench manual impact wrench (up to 800 pounds of torque) and a Robo-tools 3/4" 24V wrench. They make short work of anything that needs done away from the shop.

Lance "Thank You" I could not find the "thank you" key??
I have wonder about this for a while. I have an electric Ramsey 12K. Patriot that I would like to used in another vehicle.
And install a 12K-15K capasity winch on the M1008. Not sure about hydrolic with its constant duty advantages or Electric 24v. with it lower amp advantages. It is good to know that the Quassy CUCV electrical system is up to the portability (the 125-135 lbs. is another issue) and versatility of fore and aft mounting points. I see the NATO plugs quite offten at auction.
