M105 on Penske trailer?

I am moving next year and am wondering if anybody here has put an M105 on a Penske/Uhaul car trailer or seen it done. Just trying to find out if it is feasable.

Why are you towing the penske trailer? Why not just pull the M105 behind whatever you are driving?

I will be towing my M1009 behind the duece. Last time I moved I put the trailer in the bed but I need the extra space for household items and spare parts this time aound.

So are you planning on towing the Penske trailer behind the M1009? If so you better check with the trailer rental place before attempting this.

You are well within the weight rating of the rental trailer. Need to measure the deck width to see if the tire track will fit then formulate a plan on getting it on and off. The track on a 105 is not overly wide so I'm guessing it will probably fit.

My civilian trailer is 6'4" wide (from inside fender to inside fender) and it will NOT fit a M105 inside.
According to the TM, overall width of the M105 is 7 ft 4 ½ in. Wayne

U-Haul used to have a on-line calculator to size tow vehicle.
According to it, my 1/2t pickup could only tow something the size of a VW. Wayne

I did some measurements today and the Penske auto trailers have 79in of uesable deck space and the M105 is 75/6in from tire sidewall to sidewall so I have a few inches to spare and I am going to load it on backwards (I have a pintle on the front of my duece that should help with that). And the M105 weighs less than the Ford Taurus X we towed on the same trailer last move.

Two things here. DO NOT tell them what you are planning on doing or they will NOT rent the trailer to you. Tell them you are towing some small car. The other thing is I know you said you needed the room for household items in the duece so you couldn't load load the M105 in it, but what I am thinking is load the M105 in the duece then load the M105 full then load around the M105. Heck load the crap out of the M1009 too. This may save you some money. I don't know just a thought.

why not tow the 105 behind the deuce, and put the 1009 on a trailer behind the box truck?

It would probablly be alot easyer, and give you more availble cargo space.

the M1009 is quite a bit more than the allowable weight (1500 lbs I believe). And I can still use the M105 for cargo as it doesn't weigh all that much.
