thanks, pinwormfood

i tried to do a search on the site and didnt come up with a thread. thanks.

Wiper blades

I use Anco 31-18. Works better than the stock 16 inch blades
Isn't a 18 inch blade too long? i know my 15 inch bade seems to go to the edge of the driver side left edge of the windshield....doesnt a longer blade start running into the rubber windshield gasket?
thanks...pwf

Closest an 18" wiper comes to the rubber is about 1/4" on drivers side

If there is a contact problem then it could be because the wiper arm was removed and reindexed on the drive shaft coming out of the firewall.
Check them when they are in the parked position but park them with water or glass cleaner on the windshield so they have a lubricated full range of motion.
They should be level or slightly lower than perfectly level.
I also use an 18 inch wiper and I just purchased some from NAPA.
I'll get the number and edit this post to show the number as soon as I get it.
An 18 inch or at least a 17 inch is much better than the OEM size.

O.K. The NAPA number for the 18 inch blade is 60-018-3. There is a metal tab on the adapter that is made to be snapped off and you need to do this
in order for them to fit but they seem to work just find although this is my very first set of NAPA blades ever and I've only had them for a month.

napa blades

Jim1009, thank you very much for that help. I went and purchased the napa blades you mentioned. they have some big contraption bracket on them. what part gets snapped off, and I still dont see how they would work on the truck. maybe i have some screwed up wiper arm that doesn't belong on my truck. i uploaded a picture of the truck, and also of the current wiper blade, and plastic end on the wiper arm. i am typically not this retarted when it comes to mechanical stuff, but i am getting frustrated with myself. lol. also, how does one properly index wiper arms. mine are def. too high. never did that one before. thanks, and i can't wait to get your reply. my current blades are trashed.
thanks, pinwormfood
