My buddy has a 12" spring lift (super lift) on his 77 civi 1 ton w/ cuttout flares and it still rubs....front springs are 3 months old. you get a lot of flex w/ them, he's running 44/19.5/r16 boggers, on 16x10 black steel wheels. Probably wont ever rub on the street, but what good are 44's on the street...2cents

12" springs are way big. a stiff wind will blow that thing over. go look at ck5.com and check out what they are running. ive got 42's with 6" springs a a zero rate.

ya, it's way up there, i'm pretty young and find it difficult to get in the truck. Your truck wont rub if articulated on a corner? Looks like it would pretty bad, are your bumpstops functional? If it doesn't rub you definately found a niche......*7"[thumbzup]

yea im not putting a body lift in the truck but i would like to get a lot of flex out of it tho, maybe ill go with 40's instead of 44's
Getting a lot of flex with a spring lift is doable... but then add that size of tire... and to not get it to rub... its doable but will take a real nice leaf setup to make it work correctly.

I put 9.00x16's, which are 36 inches, on mine, and they clear just fine with only very minor fender trimming. .and will be even better if Superlift EVER sends me my lift kit. .3 1/2 front / 2 rear. .that's been on backorder for nearly 4 months now

the lift/ truck I spoke of in a previous post is perfect with 40" groundhawgs, tons of flex with no rubbing. It's just low enough to get in and out of without a ladder and still clears the "kelly humps" that we go over to "test" new lifts and such. At one time or another I wanted to go with 44's too, not anymore, the combo afore mentioned seems to be the best of all worlds that I have seen.2cents

mine rubs a little at full stuff, it does not when going around a corner or hitting small bumps. Im not a fan of body lifts either, and id perfer to keep the stock rear spring like i said in another thread. i just buy the front lift springs a flip the back shackles. to get more lift also, buy some longer shackles at diy4x, and do yourself a favor, buy the ezinch. it gives you a extra inch up front and lets you move the axle forward an inch too. makes it so you dont have to cut as much[thumbzup].
