Anyone know a source for a top plate for an M35a2 winch? Been searching hard and drawing a blank so far.Would it be the same as the one on a 5 ton winch?

I used a structural c channel with very similar dimensions to the stock deformed channel (except much thicker) and it works fine. Drilling the holes for the mounts was a bit of a challenge and you have to tap all the little holes for the data plates. I even tested it to see if it would shear the pin... and it did. No bends.

ODI did a limited production run on the top plates and if I'm not mistaken, they have all been sold. Plans were to punch the holes for the data plates but there was an issue with the machine they were using and not all of the winches have the same data plates. He also make a run of the rear plates as well. They were without the hinge lockout. Might still have some of those left.
