It would be best if the OP copied and posted the pics. Then we could all enjoy them , forever(not just for a week or so). I know it take a bit of effort, but it would preserve the pics and improve the post.

Where does this information come from? Did you poll the members? Or is this an unsubstantiated fact, you came up with?

Maybe I should just delete it now then? Since its a few days old and nobody will continue reading this, or come back to it later?

How often do we see somebody say "use the forum search, it's been covered already" in a thread? Every day multiple time indicating that most do not read old threads.

I think sometimes people just need to relax and not sweat the little things. The picture will be gone in a few days...Who cares, he came for emotional support and he got it... the picture vanishes and we all move on tho other topics.

Keep up the encouragement towward a better site. I, for one, appreciate all that our Moderators do in striving toward that goal.

If this were an active duty unit you'd be up on INSUBORDINATION CHARGES in a heartbeat.

I would say the majority of the time people suggest to "search, it's been covered", that they say so because they know the facts/info is already posted and readily available. What is there to gain by posting in a new thread, old information that has been posted dozens or hundreds of times?

Maybe consider this theory, "If your not part of the solution, you are part of the problem"(yes kind of extreme, but is pretty true). I am never offended by positive constructive criticism, nobody should be. One of the main goals of this website is to be a great resource for correct and useful information(that takes maintenance, and is what moderators do).

The forums are not a daily chat line, that's what the Chat is for. It is for sharing and solving MV issues. If you want to chat, use the chat rooms. That info disappears after you post it(does not use server space).

Um it isn't a active duty unit...it is an internet open forum (forum = a meeting place to discus common interests) ... We are the life blood of the forum...without the members it would not exist. We are not the Admins or Moderators subordinates.

I understand perfectly what goes into maintaining a forum and appreciate the effort. I moderate another forum myself. I am not familiar with the setting of Vbadvanced, but you can probably set up a date of death for threads that don't need to remain archived taking up space.

Ok, starting next week, all threads will dissapear after 10 days. The search function will be removed, and all the TMs will dissapear also. We'll just be a daily chat/blog.
