I would say go to "Hundy" over Boyce. It pays to make calls about the trucks, and ask about specific builders here.

Not trying to promote myself here, well actually I am, but I hope to have one for sale by the end of the week. No where near you but it will be in the classified.

For what it's worth, everybody and their dog is bobbing deuce's and trying to make an unholy amount of money selling them (I like that club and might join it). I would suggest you keep an eye out for a little while and make sure you are getting what you want. In my experience the bigger the tires, the more they cost. They are on eBay all the time. Some guys are as full of stuffing as a Christmas turkey. Some are honest. I posted on a thread here about a year ago about what it cost to bob a deuce. My final conclusion is I would have less money in a bob than a stock one. So why do they cost so much? Supply and demand.

Good luck,
Joe

Also , really really look into them , like Joe said Everyone is doing it in their backyards and stuff so alot of stuff is slapped together unless you get one from a good source. White Owl parts Co White Owl - Trucks
has a cheap one if you like the 6 tire option , if not add bigger tires and its a good price and the works done right. Do make the phone calls and go look at what your buying first and you should be ok , Jay

I think we have another memmber here from Alaska with a bobbed deuce. He might be able to do one for you or provide a closer source. Can't remember his name right now though!

Might also be some LABOR in there as well.
That is true, but I would rather bob a truck than change all the fluids and grease everything. WITH THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT it isn't too much work. I have all right stuff and I can remove the factory bed and remount the axle in half a day. It's the new bed, painting and stuff like that I hate to do.

Anyway there are a lot of them out there now so be patient and find the one you like. I drove my first one to the Georgia rally and I really liked it. They are a lot easier to handle.

Joe
