Need CUCV 24V Alternator Wiring Diagram

I had the alternators rebuilt (yes they are both isolated grounds) and thought I installed the wiring correct, but I want to make sure before I start up the vehicle. I am mainly concerned about the stud that is not the main power supply on both alternators for a 24V system.

Anyways, can someone post or send me the diagram for the alternators.

Thanks!

The schematic was not very clear. It was as detailed as a Chiltons is. I could have missed a better one. I looked under alternators, around page 80.

This has been posted twice in the last couple weeks. I suggest a search or look in the -20 TM , at the back, all schematics are there and very clearly labeled. You need to look at both the charging schematic and the diagnostics schematic, for all the wire connections to the alternators.

here ya go..................

Sometimes the supressor on the passenger alternator is removed. I have one with and one without.

You are not looking in the right place. The wiring diagrams are located in Appendix F of the -20 manaul and Apprendix E of the -34 manual (same diagrams).

At the start of the troubleshooting section of both manuals, they cover how to read the diagrams, what the wire colors are, wire sizes and how to read the wiring diagrams.

Thanks, where did you get that from? When I blow it up, it gets quite grainy.
Did you right click the thumbnail?

From my last post. The diagrams are in the appendix of the TMs. I cut and paste and color the lines for whatever project I am working on.

The alternator pic is from the NAPA website.

One last question. The suppressor lead goes to the isolated ground which then has a larger guage red wire? This would be for the passenger side only.

That is correct. Passenger side only. It should be the larger red wire with the white tracer. I have seen a truck that didn't have the white tracer. The wire will go to the 12v Terminal block by the GlowPlug relay.

If your truck doesn't have the supressor, then the red/white wire will be the only one on the isolated ground post.

On the driver side you will connect the Black engine ground wire to the isolated ground post.

If you are handy with an Ohm Meter you might want to double check that the case and the isolated ground are indeed isolated from each other.

Just the other day a fellow member had his alt rebuilt and the rebuilder "forgot" to install the fiber washer inside the case. Fireworks folllowed!!!!
