Well,I'm still waiting on the EUC to clear on that one, you're still welcome to ride along unless it clears just before Aberdeen, then i'll just pick it up on the way home.
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
I love that line..o man I need a tetanus shot just looking at her, the only thing holding her together is the bird droppings.
Wow I did not think the military believed in Jake brakes lol must be a new thing lol. Ok it all makes sense now. So what do they do fuel wise? 2 gpm (gallons per mile)? Lolhndrsonj,I'm gonna try and get it there, along with the lowboy and my trail truck.
Bubba, yes,it's an automatic,a Allison 5 speed HT 750 CRD to be exact.
And yes as cleb said the third pedal is the activation switch for the Jake Brakes.
Upkeep isn't all that bad,no more than a 5 ton or Deuce
Glad to hear that, looking forward to seeing itI'm working on it WM,I have to now ,it's going to Aberdeen in a few weeks.
More work done last night,I changed the trans oil and filter,I used Castrol Trans CHT for the oil vs 15W40.
Now I have a question for all you other 915 owners, are these trucks kinda sluggish to start off or does this one have issues?
It tends to bog a little while starting off with little to no smoke at all,the engine accelerates quickly in neutral and it starts easily,On most hills while bobtailing it'll drop 5 mph and any serious hill about 10 mph without downshifting to 4th.
I have changed the fuel filter and I am using a Fleetguard FS 1000 filter.
I'm gonna check the aneroid line to see if it's getting boost signal to the IP,any other suggestions?
