M101A1 New Guy needs wiring adaptor / converter

I found a M101A1 Trailer and will have it home soon. I'm pretty psyched!

I'm going to be towing it with My Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I've found the correct Pintler hitch, but was wondering about wiring for tail lights. I am no electrical genius, but I can twist some wire together. Should I just get a female 24 volt connector and cut /splice it with 4 pin wiring harness jack?

Does anyone make an adaptor?

Any input appreciated.

You can get an adapter and change your bulbs to 12 volt. Or you can go with the magnetic light set up temporarily.

I got a set of magnetic towing lights to get it home.
Once at home I put 12 volt bulbs in the light and i got the trailer plug off of a military truck and wired that to a 4 pole plug. I left the trailer intacted incase i either sell it ot pull it wil a military vehicle.

I was able to seperate(unplug) the wiring on the A-frame(Hitch) at the junction box, then schothlocked a regular 4-pin trailer connector. Then replaced the top 2-bulbs with 12-volt bulbs. works fine. You should be able to use the following diagram to hook your 4- wires to.

There is a way to make your own adapter so you do not have to re-wire your intervehicular cable. But...
You will need to change the bulbs out to 12 volt.

You need a 12 pin female end to plug into the cable, and splice in a 4 pin or 7 pin round plug to complete the connection.

I had a female 12 pin made up by the manufacturer, and spliced myself, so I could run all the lights when towing my trailer behind my H3. I also swapped out the lights for Multi-volt LEDs, that work with 12 or 24 volt.

Here is a source for the 12 pin female plug: Saturn Surplus 2332

If you unplug the intervehicle cable at the junction box, you can save it and plug it back in. Using scoth locks at 22-460, 22-461 & 21 (each wire has metal ID plate # just after plug in) and a little electric tape, you are on your way.
