I guess it depends on what you consider "much difference". About 4" more diameter translates to about 10% increase in speed. My max speed incresed from 63mph to 70mph.I have wondered for a while about the tire upgrade. There that much of a diffrence between 1100x20 vs 395's? I know there aint much diffrence in size overall diameter.
The FWTD is made by Tru Hitch. They have both civilian and military models. Please add some pics and info on the towing set up. Is it .gov or commercial painted green?

No, I put the wheels and tires on my M818 for now. Once I bob it and go back to singles, then I might be able to get rid of them. Glad your tractor is up and running!Looks real good! You need to get rid of the old wheels and tires? I had to put a rebuilt rearend in mine but it pulls the bellydump real well!
I just used the wheels and tires I already had. There are probably some better options out there, but I couldn't beat the price on these! Were you running M915 or M915A1? I think the slicks have more speed with the CAT tranny (It must have one or two overdrive gears.) The allison in the M915A1 is direct only and the manual indicates 58 MPH @ 2100.Looking good james! Any reason for not going to a 22.5? 385/85R22.5s woulda made a big difference and last a while. You look into your pump settings to see where you might be governed at. Our M915s would run over 70+ when I was a recovery guy.
