I would double check everything on your truck to be on the safe side. There are parts missing blinkers, CTIS cover, and the door was swapped. Could have been a parts truck.

A transmission rebuild from Allison will set you back more than you paid for the entire truck! I know because I had the transmission in my M925A2 rebuilt by Allison. I would exhaust every possibility first.

There are many private rebuild houses for non-electronic Allisons around the country. Stay away from Allison when ever possible! I not sure about MT 654's, but rebuilt MT653's were selling for $1800.00 a year or so ago (with core).

You need to call THE ALLISON GURU!!!!!!!!

Truck looks extremely complete minus the lights. Someone just lifted them for their own truck probably. It has a brand new out of the box door that looks to have just been installed shortly before I bought it. There are 2 or 3 new tires on the truck and one that looks to have met up with a forklift blade. It is missing the spare. Sure starts and runs good! Hope the tranny is something simple to fix!!! Anyhow, it definetly hasn't been a parts truck.

Check the ATF fluid behind the little door in the passenger footwell. Some have engine oil, some ATF, I probably wouldn't mix them.

Don't listen to the anti-A3 folk and their $10,000 trans rebuild stories, these are really common and simple transmissions, $2,000 rebuilt online and $500 used at your local truck salvage...

I love my A3 though the CTIS can be annoying at times. :p

Sounds real good!
Can the CTIS cause problems? Or how does it cause problems??
