hey everyone, how do you convert the 24v to a regular cigarette plug.(I think thats 12v) is it best to have someone do it or can I do it myself? thanks for any help.

the only thing really 24v is your starter.
That does not answer his question.

You install it on 12v block that is near the glow plug relay. Circled in the image is the 12v block that supplies 12v to the truck. You can also follow the wire to the 12v side of the rear battery, this coming from the front battery to the rear battery. Do not put it on the rear battery to the 24v block as that would be very bad for your 12v appliance.

yeah your answer is better. I was hopping he would do a search after my answer because it has been covered a million times.

Understand, I just figured I would post the answer while I were here. There is a multiple page thread on this subject with great details, but never hurts to mention it again.
