I agree , this comes up alot , ive never ordered from them and haven't had to but seems crazy every month or so a new thread about how crappy there business practice comes up.

Yea, I understand. Being out over $1.4k though will make it very easy for me to avoid them. Sad part is, only thing I ever wanted was for the darn thing to work. I found a company that sells a system cheaper since then but I don't even complain about that. Oh well, live, learn, make a fuss, do what you can, and keep on moving.

Isn't the owner a Member here? Seems to me this would be the last place you'd want to cut your throat. On a positive note, I have dealt with Erik's Military Surplus, and have always had great results. Erik even personally emailed me, at my request, to inform me that he had an item back in stock again. Now that's customer service.

Ehasson, has all your post on SS been a complaint about ODIron? Putting A/C in a CUCV is not a drop in afternoon job some parts have to be fabricated or modified due to the difference from one CUCV to the next.

I have had hit and miss lately from OD Iron, not sure what's up. Mike is a good guy, but seems to be losing touch, one can only speculate.

What I know is that he doesn't stock many parts anymore, they come from somewhere else, so his advantage has been lost for me (FL to FL ground shipping = fast).

I think he is/was but I haven't been able to raise any contact in weeks so I am already SOL. I do have an evaporator coming in from Auto Air Parts and will get that unit to work with the other parts. At least that will let me salvage some of my summer. Was nice to be able to talk with the company on the phone.

I do thank you for the info on Erik's Military Surplus, I checked out the website and looks like they have a very large selection and personal replies are a plus. I will check them out after my son's summer break is over with. Right now we are just waiting for the AC part to arrive and be installed, a day or two putting the grill work and dash back together and we will be off and running for the summer.
