Um maybe for fuel filter connections, still really vague.... check the TM
looks like it has 8 wires.... can you get the wire colors.... with that and the TM, wiring diagram you can figure anything out...
where does it come from?

I'm thinking fuel filer. Does your truck still have the factory rectangular fuel filter?

Okay, might be it, il get the wirecolors tomorrow.
I dont think the rectangular fuelfilter is being used.

i got a electrical pump mounted below the battery trays so i guess it has been taken away.

Okay guys, don't out guess the CUCV Guru.......LOL

It is the connector for the ICE/STE diagnostic system. On a stock system the wiring harness goes thru the firewall and mounts to the bottom of the dash. The harness has the round Cannon plug, Tach Buffer module and the Resistor Board. Figure 56 of the TM 9-2320-289-20P

Unless you need the diagnostic system you can leave it as is.

If you look closely you will see the 4th pin connector is missing.

Wire colors for the 8 pin connector are :
Red
black w/white stripe
brown
empty
pink
tan
gray
black

after doing so, I concur with Warthog......:!:

ps. the figure 56 is acting strange, when I try to right click to print it wants to print the entire thread.....:?:

Warthog, you are indeed the CUCV GURU. I was going to guess it's the connector for the power windows, power door locks, stereo and air conditioning
