WANTED M1009 amp gauge

I'm looking for a good used or new amp gauge.....any body got one for sale or can put me on the path to locate one ?

CUCV do not have a AMP gauge. They have a voltage gauge. You can get a M type of replacement just about any place surplus is sold for around 45 bucks. The only hitch is the new ones do not come with the little place to insert the light bulb. You will have to fab up a little zip tie or glue the bulb housing to the gauge, really it is no big deal.

The stock CUCV VOLT gauge is actually a 12 volt gauge with a resistor across the back.


When you say "looking", do you just need to see a picture? or do you have an old one that does not work? or do you have a CUCV that the VOLT gauge is missing completely?

Yes, you can use the stock Gauge to read 12v, if you have converted to 12v only. Your options only limited buy your imagination!

In your case(without looking at the schematics and determining if this is the simplest choice), I would remove the resistor on the rear of it, and connect it(+ terminal) to a keyed 12V tap, in the fuse box(there are a few of them). Your negative side to a good ground.

Ok...a voltage gauge...sorry for the improper term. My time was limited this morning before i got out for the moring and that "AMP" thing was stuck in my mind. I've got new ones in my parts supply for my M998 and could modify one to work but wanted to stay with what came in the CUCV.


Seems like a parts truck will be on my list now. Hopefully one with a working "voltage" gauge.
