side mirror glue

glue let go.. took off the old and put on some new silicone. didnt hold a week. is it some kinda special glue? thanks

I agree i got some good 2 part epoxy at Orielly Auto Parts that is just made for metals, it was about $5

I have used Gorilla Glue on them, and I promise you it won't turn loose!

No doubt. We Gorilla glued a lift ring with the stud broken off to an 1100 pound train coupling at work and picked it up with the Hyster, bounced it up and down, slammed it on the floor and it never broke the bond of the glue.

The only negative to using Gorilla glue iis if you use too much it swells out from under what you are gluing.

i used marine grade 5200 sealant to glue my mirrors back on. stays flexible and its extremely strong stuff.
