what is the part number on yours? Mine says 14066255 And comes up as an Idle stop solenoid at all my auto stores, the picture they pulled up was identical to mine. I don't know if the idle stop is the one we want but it was $150.00 @ carquest.
Also is there a way to test these?
I put power to mine and the rod came out but if i put my finger in front of the rod it doesn't , and my rod has a lot of wobble in it.

There is nothing wrong with posting a thread, asking if part is available or where to get one.

As this thread developed, it becomes obvious he did not know where to buy the part(or if it could be bought new anywhere).

As long as there is some intellectual discussion, asking for help finding parts is fine.

Most of the -20P numbers are indeed, GM part numbers.

the only way to test the old one is two apply 12V+ to the terminal lug and rotate the throttle back and see if the plunger kicks out. all this is a an adjustable solenoid.. mine flaked out along time ago still trying to find a cheaper way to remedy the problem... guess my foot on the pedal works just fine

yeah that's what mine is doing be sure that your getting 12 volts to the terminal on top of the pump too. that is the advance solenoid in the pump for cold start as well. I just want mine to work, its there why not make it work.
