m813 sprag front axle

my front axle is not engaging, there is no switch to flip to engage the front diff. Any words of wisdom, greatly appreciate. cabot 151

Read the -10TM, basic operators manual.

You need to learn simple things like that before you drive them. Eric's right, the -10 and -20 will help alot. There is no switch in a 5 ton for the front axle like your thinking.

To help , how did you test the sprag?

Only 4 posts guys...we were all new once

cabot...when you move from first to reverse..,do you hear an "air noise sound" and or a thunk?

Don't mean to sound condenscending...but how do you know it's not working....as BDM13 asked...how was it tested?

Theres 2 easy ways to test it out. But if its realy broken your in for a sad set back $$. Also id be happy to tell you how to take care of it too if its not broken to make sure it wont break . Jay

Are you hearing the air release, when you shift R and 1st?
