M35A3 wheel seals replace with A2 ?

if you do away with the CTIS can you use the M35A2 wheel seals? That would be cheaper and a whole lot easier.

There was a thread about this and the poster said it could be done. I say no because on my spindle they machined off the lip for the inter seal to ride on to make way for the airtight bearing that the 3 uses.
Tear yours apart and prove me wrong.

I just took the spindles and drums off an A2 axle I have and made the switch. The A3 bearings were to high a price.

No word about if the rear axles on the A3 where modified also, for the new seals.... ???
