The CUCV lock system does use the round head key. Unless your future lock has been changed, then it should fit.

Yes, they use the B blank key, or 'round head' type.

Keys 4 sale on ebay. That is another reason why I change the ignition and door locks on my cucv's.

WarWag,

Why would you buys CUCV keys on ebay, when you do not own a CUCV anyway?

When you do buy a CUCV in the future, I am sure you would get keys with it.

Good luck, hope you find what you are looking for..

Good day,

CJ

That and the fact you can walk into just about any GM dealer with the code and $3.50 and walk out and swipe the majority of CUCVs.

I hope you bought the one with the black rubber head on Ebay.
That is an SS member. They are higher quality, and ship very fast.

I tell you what. I will order one from him even though I just purchased two. There cheap enough. If I had known before I would have ordered from an SS member. Do you have his ebay name? I should have a spare one in the safe anyway.

I will definately do the same thing. I want to have two keys on hand (one for brothers key ring) since most of the auctions say NO KEYS. But I need to find a good vehicle by my home or my brothers. Either way we will have a key. Thanks again.

Almost every single auction in the last few months I bid on did not have keys. My plan was to have the vehicle towed to get a key cut. Then I see they all take the same key. That was asked here and verified. I also dont want to be like a few other members here who ordered there keys but hadnt recieved them in time. Im on the road all over the country and can bid sometimes out of my normal area of bidding. I dont want to be waiting for a key. When Im home its only for a week or so at a time. Again I dont want to be waiting. Also some GL sites will not give you "THE" key as stated in several key CUCV key threads here. There cheap and good to have.

Hello WarWag,

Thank you for the email, and the information.
That makes sense than.

Now if I ever bid on something on GL, I will know to bring my CUCV keys,
and/or order a couple of new ones.

Have a good night,

CJ

I was a little more cautious with my CUCV keys, knowing that they are a dime a dozen and most everyone knows the key fits all the CUCVs. I recently had my locks and ignition changed to a different key. For the price of $150.00, I highly recommend you do the same if you own one.
