Looks homade to me. Never seen anything like it. (no tail lights, safety chains etc.)

Thanks for the nice compliment. We love our FJ60s around here!

As for the trailer; I don't think it's home built, just looks to well engineered. The axle is a sort of torsion bar with twin horizontal coil springs, there are faint USMC markings on the tool box, the land gear fits perfectly, etc. The telescoping pintle arm has three positions. It looks like maybe there was a tank (air or other) mounted on it (perhaps a compressor?).

Thanks for the great pictures and info JB. I wonder what else they were fitted with? This one seems to have different deck mounts than yours did.
