Bob, I'm not so sure that's for commo. Can you post a clear close up of one of the ends? Also, there a sleeve over the cable, what does it state? If you look at the side of the cable it should be imprinted with a conductor gauge and count (such as 6/4). Sometimes there is just a manufacturer and part number of trademark name. Is there a DLA contract number or other date on the tag? If there is a DLA contract number the 7th and 8th characters ID the year in which the contract was let. That could help.

With two visible conductors it sure looks like a prime power cable, either DC or pre ground wire days.

What is all that info?

It is CX11230. 1/4 mile cable. PITA to move around. I used it for too many years.

I like the "A" frame your is sitting on, ours had a hand screw on top that would get lost, strip the thread, whatever it could do to make it hard to use.

No it's def, comm wire, I believe this is what it might hook into.
