Oh Yeah! M35A2 Deuce and a Half Fire Truck Lights and strobes-still a work in progress... thought some may want to check out this deuce ... not done... and just found out my transfer case is sol... still checking it out, but looking for a replacement... works OK in high, but in low... it grinds... thought it was out of adjustment, but after fiddling with it, it looks like maybe my sinchro is shot or the actuator fork is not doing its job... any idea would be greatly appreciated... anyway, here is a link to the video of the truck in youtube... tell me if you don't think she is cool or what!!! I will also have pics following up showing the install of the electrical components...

BTW, all of the strobes work... camera just can't keep up with them... will keep group up to speed

BUT I was HOPING to hear the sirens also!!

(Gotta get the full experience! And wake the neighbors!)

Is this gonna see fire fighting duty?
OR is it just a "toy"?

Glad you like!!! If you take a closer look at the video, you may notice that it is in the middle of a wood recycling yard... in fact the sound you hear in the background is the whisper of one of our Diamond Z wood grinders with 800+HP of Caterpillar happiness. We had a nasty fire there about 7 months ago and that was the reason for the acquisition... do we need all of the lights? Probably not... but they are major cool... and since the truck will be "stationed" at home... should there be a need for it, I would need the lights to get there... It was going to sleep at the job site, but too many inquisitive idiots want to play with the fire truck... and if I fired all that did that, I would be left without most of my employees... anyway, it is a tool that is also a toy... stick around and I will post a video with proper sound... I could not get the camera to handle the db's... gonna have to get further away, with a better camera with a faster frame rate that shows the strobes and can have some control of the incoming sound levels... As it is now, my ears are still popping... trust me when I say this... the sound of a Federal SA300 coming through 3 100 Watt speakers is attention getting to say the least. The truck will also be used as a training tool for our local fire dept. and pictures of the truck with the fire officers working with it will be forthcoming

BTW my HV strobes are wired for 24V. The LED strobes are wired for 12V... The rooftop beacon is 12V, the spots are 24, the scene lights are 12 and the belle of the ball, the fender siren/spot is 24.

I just got my 35 foot aluminum ladder... and it sits on its perch just perfectly... I hope I never have to get it down... she is one heavy and unwieldy puppy!!!

NICE!

Will it make my trck go faster??? Well yeah???

What kind of question is that... mush faster ...specially if I fire off the sirens and I am going backwards... Going forward may be a different story... probably slow it down just a tad:-D!!!

Will that make my truck faster? :-D

Not legal operating in Miami-Dade unless FD personnel is operating the truck.and the Also keep in mind that the truck is sporting Antique vehicle tag... The only stops from LE I have gotten has been to take a closer look at the truck, but I do not play or use the lights if off site. But if I did... I sm sure I could peel the paint of the back of any vehicle blocking my path

Are you a first responder with a municipal agency or a contractor.

This is owned by my company which owns a wood recycling yard in Miami and as luck would have it, we had one heck of a fire about 20 months ago. Some areas of the yard are almost inaccessible to FD trucks during rainy season. The deuce just cruises on by. We assisted a neighbor with a trash fire he had about six months ago... and we have provided heavy equipment and operators to give FD personnel access to structures that don't have any. I am ex LE but always had a weak spot for the red and whites (FD colors for lights in Miami) Backwashing and testing is done by FD personnel and truck is available for service in the inaccessible areas of unincorporated Dade.

What are you running? Would like pictures. My goal was to have a fire truck that was at least as funtional as it was when it left the factory

Feel free to contact me regardingany any other her
