I've been thinking of what I can do with my 5 ton and something that popped into my head is to put an S250 shelter in the back for a small camper or something like that. I considered an S280 size shelter, but I still want some cargo space. I may go that route in the future but I think I might try an S250 first.

My question is will a standard cargo cover clear an S250 shelter when sitting in the bed? I have the dimesions of the shelter, but not of the space from bed to bows. If it's in the TM I missed it.

I think any shelter of any camping size would require either running it mounted in the bed with no cover, or extending the cargo cover staves.

You might also consider the S-788 shelter, that normally mounts on the HMMWV. It is a little bigger, might afford you a slight bit more room inside to prevent cramped sleeping on the side hump.

Yes! If i can find one and get it to where I need it to be. I've seen far more S250s lately for relatively low cost, that's why this came to mind. I would definitely prefer an S788 if I can find one. Thanks all for the size confirmation.
