Interesting Seal Puller

Check out this video and tell me if you think this could pull the oil seal on the front axle of the deuce. Sure would beat a 6' rod.

stone age tech. Any good slide hammer kit will come with the adapter to do this. Gonna have to be a lil longer though to do the axle seals wont it???

The slide hammer I "rented" from Advance Auto had a nifty little tool that slipped inside the oil seal and then expanded into the steel carrier. Link with some pics:

The handy pieces were the small black parts in the lower right of that picture. They worked like a champ!

That wouldn't work for pulling the front axle seal. The seal carrier is hardened and the seal is on the inside and if mine was any indication that little screw wouldn't last the first hit.

I used a 10 Lb slide hammer on mine, It broke my bearing race puller adapter all to heck, but finally after a couple good whacks out it came....

Good for a 5 ton rear inner hub seal. I have a small dent puller I use to remove seals like that.
