M200a1 w/M105A2 bed?

Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone has married a M105A2 bed onto an M200a1 chassis? This is my next planned project to go along with my M109A3 w/w built. I initially planned on just dualling out a M105A2 but felt it may be too wide of a load. The reason for the duals is to add stability to the trailer. I plan on adding a 10kw generator, antenna tower, spare tires, and a wide assortment of parts and gear.
Does anyone have any pics of this combo they've done?

Sounds like a good combo. I am going to mount a spare drop side bed on a 200 when I find one. I like the added capacity and the dual tire setup of the 200.

I have seen Water Buffalos dualed out and a M105 with a fuel pod with duals on it.

I'm not sure if you can (or have to) flip the hubs to do the mod.

If I remember correctly it was not an authorized field modification due to concerns about the bearings.

The wheels will stick way out past the fenders.

There is no added load capability but duals can be added for a wider "footprint". Wayne

Dualing out the 105 will actually make you over width.
The 200 frame is far stronger, and heavier, then the 105 frame. Not sure if you are going to be worried about the weight though.
Thinking a little about this, if you put the 105 bed on the 200 frame, you will have a fairly large area between the frame rails and under the bed that you could easily make into a pretty secure storage area. Be it tools, fuel, whatever. It would take minimal work to do this as the current setup already has the cross bars in place to make it easy.

Btw Mike, I happen to have both a M200a1 and a spare 105 bed. If nothing else, it would be good to see if they would mate up well.
The extra legs at the back of the 200 is also a nice addition for stability once it is setup somewhere.

I wanted to make mine into a converter dolly, but I have also entertained the idea of putting my extra deuce bed on it.

Glad I found your post. I have an extra M200 behind the house in great shape, and I have an extra 101 bed collecting leaves. Today at work (we had a snow day at school for the students so not much to do) I thought about mating the 2. Don't have an extra 105 bed, but I was wondering if you have actually started this as I am interested in the process.

Sorry I don't. I still have yet to secure an M200A1. This was my original plan, then stupidity overcame me and I put a low bid on a M200A1 w/a 60kw generator on her....I won it. So this project is on hold for now. I may end up just using my M105A2 instead as I have two in the backyard waiting

How would a m109 box set on one? My brother wants to do that if he can find a decent box from a 109. If a deuce bed would fit, a 109 is the same basic footprint. He was measuring my 109 and looking at data plate pics from GL trying to see if it would fit. What do you guys think about that combo?
Does anyone know of a good 109 box for sale?

Also, my 200 has about 9' of usable bed, so you'd have 3' hanging off the rear. Balance could be an issue.

As I recall, this problem has been encountered before.
