Hello.

Im a guy from Norway that yust bought a m621 non turbo.
I think it smoke very litle, reading here that people says it smokes like ****.
The fdc is not bypassed, and woundering if im gonna turn up the fuel a bit. Is it something to adjust on the fdc or should i go straight to the ip?
Also woundering if the egt will rise when its got more fuel, and is a non turbo?? I would like it to smoke a lot :)

Well, anything will melt if it gets hot enough. Most people don't go over 1200* so they don't melt the fins on their turbos. It is a concern, but not AS big a concern.

Yep i watch the pyro on my cummins 12v. But i dont need to have a pyro on the non turbo 465, should not be that hot with no turbo, even if i crank up the fuel?

I'm not sure. I never put a pyro on my non-turbo truck. It is a turd speed wise and will be getting an LDS in the future. I have seen some of the guys find cheap pyros on ebay. might want to find one just for piece of mind.

Well, some say he turbo fins are smaller than the pistons so they are more susceptible to melting. Then the intake fins hit the housing and head into the intake. Imho, both are bad scenarios!

I understand you want some more power but keep in mind that these old engines are not as powerful as today's modern engines. No matter how much you tweak the Deuce engine, it will not turn your truck into a "race car". You have to decide if getting just a little more power is worth burning more fuel and running the engine hotter and possibly shortening its life span.

Sounded to me like he isn't too worried about speed(or he'd be looking for a turbo), he just wants it to roll some smoke.

You are right on spot, here in norway the military ordered everyone without turbocharging. Its not about the power, but i want it to smoke when i push the trotle down :) but im just wondering if i can reach dangerous egt when i dont have a turbo
