I need some of the steel bows myself. Doghead says he didn't have a use for the peewee air tanks. Those coupled with a little 12V cheapo compressor make a nice addition to a golf cart.

Were the guys at fort Riley helpfull at getting the 105s loaded? Or did you have to do it yourself. I bought 5 m101A2s at Fort Riley last Nov 19th, and my EUC came through yesterday, wasnt too bad considering this is my first EUC. Planning on picking them up January 8th or the 10th and was wondering if I need to bring a winch to pull them on my trailer. Any other advice would be helpfull as I dont want to foreget anything as its a 4 1/2 hour trip from St. Paul Nebraska. THANKS

You will have to come up with outher dates for your PU. 8th is a Sat, closed, 10th Monday no load outs Monday's or Fridays. Call them and make an appointment next week. They will tell you then if they can load you or not.

Grega, I think you have to load by appointment Tuesday through Thursday, 8 AM to 2 PM....those dates would not be available. You are looking at the 4th, 5th, 6th or the 11th, 12th and 13th. I have Thursdays off and would be glad to come help you, I can do some previewing while I am there.

What kind of trailer do you have? The reason I ask is there is a concrete loading dock that we used for the low deck trailer and it worked slick. I just backed them on with my pickup. They have another ramp that they pickup with fork lifts and you back under it. That one was not so slick, it was narrow and had sidewalls that made it very difficult to back up. I could not stay straight enough to keep my front tires out of the sides.

The guy that helped us was very cooperative in helping hook up to my pickup and he helped shove the trailers around on the trailer deck to get them tied down. He kept reminding us though that it was not in his job description.

Four of my trailers were behind other buyers trailers and it became our job to move the trailers in front of mine to get to them. I did not mind jockeying them around, but it did take time. My M1008 is lower than the jack will go, so to raise the gear, we had to manually lift the tongue, raise the gear, then set it down on the hitch. That is just about a three man operation. Glen

Yes it's one of the 15-20 that were all missing the tank lids and stuff. It don't look pretty but for the price I think I can fix it up nice and still be money a head. I hope:roll:
I am about 50 miles too far west for you, unless you are coming North on 135, which would not make a lot of sense. I am sure we can work something out for the gear. Glen

Yes Glen I will be coming down on I 135 which turns into highway 81 to York Ne.. Will call GL fist thing Monday and see what dates will work for them. As far as trailers go. One is a 30ft. gooseneck with flip down ramps. But if i leave the ramps up and back up to the dock, I should get 3 trailers on this. On another day, was planning on bringing my car trailer and should get 2 trailers on. Maybe could meet you on Thursday if it will work. I was going to look at some gen sets while im there. THANKS Greg

The M871 has 9 really nice 1100x20 Goodyear tires on it. It just seems like a horrible waste. The hoses look new, all the lights and reflectors are new, the brakes were good and made no noise, if I only had a M818.... LOL...

Is the M871 getting scrapped? I'm trying to find one for a project all I realsly need is the frame and suspension. Let me know if you think it might be available.

Thanks

The guys here are extremely helpful - they assist loading 4ea. M105 trailers on my M871 without issue.

I bought another M105 on the auction that closed on the 17th. The EUC came back today, so I called and made a last minute appointment. Smoked over in the deuce, signed in, got hooked up, pulled out into the parking lot and signed out in 12 minutes. I then checked the bearings and lugs, tied down the top, hooked up the air lines, the lights worked, the tires are new, the air lines, the top is good, and electric pigtail look new... the trailer body has some cancer though. I will probably pull the goodies and crush the trailer. It looked great in the photos and is nice and straight, maybe we can rebuild that one lower rail.

It towed great coming home, the hubs stayed nice and cool. I hopped off of the Interstate at Chapman and headed south to the old highway. I stopped for a soft drink, then headed west over Indian Hill. There was a road detour for construction at Enterprise, but the detour was scenic and I was in no hurry. You can definitely pick out the remains of the old BOD route, some of those old barns are outstanding. Glen
