My "crane" truck, new top, and soon to be heater...

I added a crane to my truck today. I wish I had an M816, but at least it's a start. It's nothing fancy, just a harbor freight special. I'm thinking about snazzing it up a bit with an ATV winch, but I want to find one that has a brake. I broke down my XML/A3 wheel combos, but my sling should have no problem with the extra slack picking up the entire thing.

I also swapped the ripped top on the truck as well. I didn't realize until the other day in chat that I bought it from Clinto's girlfriend. It was a desert tan top, but I sprayed it with some krylon OD. I also added a little strip of gorilla tape across the front to prevent the wind from getting under the plastic front clip. Maybe it'll last longer that way.

I didn't get my M151 heater in yet. UPS pushed it out to Monday. I doubt I'll get it then though with the weather that is predicted.

Hopefully the uploaded pics will make one mod happy here

:funny: now now, lets all just get along!!
Keep on pushing me. I'll threaten you like I did my kids today. I told them if they kept on making mom mad, I was going to tie them up with the sling and hoist them up on the crane and let them think things over for a bit.

Oops. Who moderates the moderator?

On that crane, is that a joke. I think it might be a bit of a hoist.

What do you do, work on computers for a living. Looks like something I would do, but then, I would be proud of it too.

I know, I was wondering when someone would call me out for the "crane". rofl

I've been eying a M814 that doesn't have a bed I'm thinking about getting a knuckle boom and M35A2 bed put on.

Yeah I'm a sys admin. I'm not really all that proud of it, but all that hoist has to do is get the spare in and out of the bed. I didn't want to put much more effort into the "spare tire", so I just cheeped out and bought this one. I would have built another one. But the nice thing about this one is I just need to modify the troop seats a bit and I should still be able to use all of them.
