Don't know where else to put this one. I got an email from a local supplier, says he has some "tire constrictors" he says they are used to help mount big tires on rims, some kind of strap with a hydraulic tensioner? anybody know anything about that? Just wondering if its worth the trip to check them out

I have one of those and they are hydraulic If it is all there the pump comes with it. It is like a potter power pump. Those are for really big tires. But will work for truck. Go look then you can say I looked and said what.

It is not worth the trip. I have used one on a 395 and they are intended for HUGE tires. Those of you posting you use a ratchet strap have no clue when it comes to these things.

I think we who are sayin ratchet strap, mean using them on the size tires we use, :) not really worrying about the tool mentioned, a ratchet strap can be used on wheel barrow tire on up, just use a bigger strap, ... :) :) :)... or more straps :) :) :) in a bind a strap can do alot as we all know....

I have a brand new hydraulic tire constrictor to expand the beads on tubeless tires, with a hand pump like a Porta-Power pump. Made for US military. It does work well on 15R 22.5s, Think it would be good on 14.00R 20s and 395s too. I don't know about 11r 22.5s, I think my cheetah tank is the best for them. I'm not afraid of ether, as long as somebody else is doing it. JT
