So the state of Montana says it's an 1989 1/2 ton jeep.
I think it's a 1970-71 kaiser Jeep but... can anyone tell me for sure?

Here's what I do know.
ID Data Tag info:
Stock Number 2320-077-1616
ID no. O4M-45571 0525-23779
MFD BY GPD Jeep Corp.
Contract # 0AAE 06-70-60001

Thanks for any help!

In the ID number the 0525 part identifies it as a deuce (2.5 ton), frame serial number 23779, the first part is the Army registration number (O4M-45571) made by the General Products Division of Jeep Corp. Remember - REO, Studebaker, Kaiser Jeep, AMG, then GPD of Jeep, later AMC, then Chrysler. Refer to David Doyle's book for more information!

There definitely are some advantages to living out in the sticks of Montana. I had to have a deputy come inspect my vehicle and we had to correct on the title; The VIN, The Year, The Make, The Model, & GVW. With all that he was still done in about five mins., I then went to the DMV and in 25mins. latter had my registration $140.00 for first year with 24k GVW and about $100 each year after.

Insurance turned out to be painless as my Farm Bureau agent took care of me. So me and my kid took the old girl up to the ski hill today just because we could. Good times...

And because Everyone says "This thread is worthless without pics!" Here you go!!
