There are exceptions for gun discussions in regards to mounts or dummy guns. Trust me, this is not an anti gun crowd here at all, just trying to keep things on track with MVs. Plenty of gun forums and you guys can chat guns all you like in PMs. I spend as much time on AR15.com as I do here!

I read that whole thread ... and the one indicated in the first or second post in

...

The posts in those threads claim "true" weights from 1,450 to 2,000 pounds.

After reading all of that stuff ... I don't think that anybody has a real idea ...
apart from what the guy reading the scale tells them.

Today ... the scale reader told me 1,300 pounds.

But like I said ... today is past ... and I'm ready to move forward.

So are you sarcastically saying that you read the rules and chose to ignore them? Or you just by passed the rules without reading them when you signed up?

Neither.

I'm a naturally light hearted guy ... always a smile on my face ... always lookin' for the rainbow.

I didn't mean any harm.

Rules are a pet peve of mine. It bugs the snot out of me when I read one thread about something and see the next one get shut down.

I could have jump right in a join you on your discussion ( I carry a 1911 45acp, that, yes, belonged to my grandfather, when he was part of the Las Vegas PD, thats why I like 45's) but I didnt because of the rules.

I'm glad you brought this to my attention. I will try to keep from offending you in the future.

Oh I can hear it now, someone is trying to formulate a post about hypocracy(sp?) because my post violates the very rule Im pointing out.

Honestly, I can see that. In the short time that I've been aboard ... I've come across a couple guys here that would do such a thing.

If you don't like the rule go ahead a PM SteelSoldiers AKA Chris the site owner and supreme rule maker and let him know how you feel about his anti-gun bias.
I didn't say how I felt about an anti-gun bias.

I didn't say that I like the rule ... or disliked it. I only expressed my surprise.

I only stated that I had read something about this in another forum.

Go to the Survival Blog ... and do a search.... a through one ... for an article on the "ultimate TEOTWAWKI vehicle ... The Deuce" ... its in there.

Heck ... I only asked a guy about his sig-line .... and got into an innocent discussion with him.

You can rest assured ... I will brush up on the rules ... and not violate anymore of them.

I'm certainly glad that you took the time to kindly point this out to me.

Thank you.

KSM715 I think you are being a little hard on oddshot. Everything said on here cannot be taken literally and we must understand many comments made are intended to have some humor or sarcasm. Oddshot is a cool dude and has a funny sense of humor. Heck if I could not say something sarcastic or funny on here I dont think I would ever say much at all. I think he understands the rules better now but should not be abused over them.

Speaking of guns I am looking at an ad at the top of the banner on this site right now for "Front Sight Firearm Training". It must related to guns, and since guns cannot be mentioned unless they are "dummy guns" and since they paid for this ad they must be dummy guns so then why do we need training?aua

The "ad at the top" argument is getting real old. This site is supported by those ads. If they bothered me so much, I'd go elsewhere.

The add does not bother me at all. Not in the least. I am a gun nut. I just hated seeing someone seemingly being so hard on oddshot over a gun issue and then seeing that ad. I am glad the site has those sponsors.

I really wonder if these scrap yards are not ripping guys off. I have seen weights go all the way from 1000-2000 pounds. There cannot be that much difference.
