Thanks CARNAC! I WISH I had 3916's to be honest. The 3900 breaks to easily from what I have seen. We used them in OIF III and 7-9 on our trucks-any time we hit a wire it would snap the rod inside the antennae rendering it useless. We rolled with 3916s on our tanks and they worked awesome. Im only using that whip for my CB so quality isn't a top priority for me, but id prefer the 3916s, because thats what im used to running on our tanks.
I know what you mean about the 3900's. I had a ball fall off the tip of one and when I went through a drive through, I got it caught and shattered it.

Swapped to 3916s soon after. Lost that vehicle. Still have the antennae.



Do you have any interior picks, have you done any upgrades there? I had planned on rhinolining the interior of mine with sand colored lining.

Sorry for just not gettin back to you. I just re-read your first post and heck yea id like a set 16s if you have them! I haven't modded the interior at all, other then just cleaning up the seats and gauges, and spraying it tan. I didnt rhino line the interior, I just sprayed it tan and added a grit like material that gives the floor some texture. Not sure what it was called...it was left over from where me and my dad sprayed his utility trailer.

I'm curious to know what this does to your MPGs.

I really like to do something similar but my M1009 is my most fuel efficient vehicle and I'd like to keep it that way :)
Just finished up this tank. I got 16.2 mpg with just city driving. It really didn't drop any noticeable amount. the .4-.7 mpg difference could just be my driving style, rather than just bigger tires. Either way, there is no real NOTICEABLE difference in my city driving. The highway was a decent gain though. Hope my info helps.
 
I ordered the 3/4 ton kit. (RC part number 140H) I didn't order rear springs; I just got the blocks. The rear springs are 2 1/2 inches wide and 52 inches long. (FYI-If you go to the FAQ article http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showwiki.php?title=wiki:Cucv on the CUCV forum page, it lists the common specs for these beasts) Rough country notes that you should buy longer brake lines, but all I did was just bend the brackets that the lines come through and that added approximately an extra inch of line. At full flex front and rear, the stock lines work just fine with a 2 inch lift. I wouldn't go any higher though, without buying longer lines.
