That trailer will make an excellent emergency shelter.
I used mine the entire winter of 2007 when the office/shop burned to the ground.
Had an up and running dispatch office in less than 2 hours from the time the fire started.

Sounds like you're about ready to "move in"...

CONGRATS!!!!:-D:-D:-D

Thats a really cool trailer...I'm starting to think you have an addiction to boxed things? It doesn't look like it has suspension ?Does it?
It has springs both front and back. Only has parking brake on rear axle. Would need to upgrade the axle ends with highway rated bearings and real brakes. Tires are highway rated.

Well yesterday I taped the joints on the drywall. i left it to dry overnight. Today I did the 2nd and 3rd coats of mud. i also did some of the final electric by installing the duplex outlets as well as the light switch. I also mounted a junction box under the trailer for the main feed to the panel. I need to get some more supplies before I can complete the electrical work. It was too dark to take pictures when I was done. i will take some tomorrow before I paint. :grd::grd::grd:

I have to apologize in advance for not posting any pictures of the progress! I was going to take pictures today of the drywall after taping but got busy. I was motivated to get paint on the walls so I can complete the trailer project. I managed to paint the drywall in the trailer.

I installed all the receptacle covers and the panel cover. I decided to install some new 4 foot wrap-around florescent fixtures instead of the 8 footer. i found the fixtures in the shipping container when I was looking for the the paint.

SInce I was still motivated to get the trailer finished I decided to finish the wiring under the frame and the tie-in to the panel located in the back end of the shipping container. Got all the wiring done but could not turn on the power because I did not have the proper circuit breaker in stock. I'll pick one up tomorrow!

By the time I put all the tools and supplies back it was getting dark out and I was beat! So pictures tomorrow. On the schedule for tomorrow is to get the power on, cut the opening for the A/C unit and install the A/C unit. (it was in the mid 70's today and I was uncomfortable from the heat inside the trailer. I figure I would get the A/C going before I install the bamboo flooring.

Stay tuned for further progress and pictures.

Today I broke my back and installed the bamboo flooring in the trailer. I had the A/C on all day and I was still sweating! it was 77 degrees out today! I didn't finish until 6:00 PM. Man am I beat! SInce I had been promising I would post pictures I went out to the trailer after dinner and took the attached photos.

I promised some of my loyal followers that I would post pictures of the shipping department once I got it set up. I got most of the work done inside the trailer so I took some pictures. let me know what you think...

I'm not sure what I expected to see when you were done, but I know that's WAY better than I pictured!!

Hey that looks awesome...

Now I'm curious what you sell that you need that sweet of packaging room.

I'd love to do something similar.

Just a quick update! I purchased some 1/2" Tuff-R Rigid Insulation sheets to cover the inside of the doors. I managed to cut them out around the locking mechanisms and attach them to the doors with drywall screws. I installed 3 layers on each door. That gives them a R-10 value. I will be covering them up with aluminum flashing sheets as a cover. I will have some pictures of them this weekend i hope.

Dang - I do not know how this thread got by me !aua

Last I knew of it - it needed to be hauled to the DZ and gave GE some info that might be able to help him - but from that point to now seeing the end results - HOLY CRAP GE that trailer is disgustingly AWESOME.

How some folks around here can work so easily and so much done that looks like that embarasses me. All I do is spend a lot of time just thinking about wanting to do something - and then just another idea pops in my head - just ideas come with no results.

SO now after seeing and catching up on your thread - I had better get the lead outta my butt and at least paint my fence green :p.

That makes a great facility for what you described as your business operations to me for working environment.

BUT - where does the DOG SLEEP.
