Some great footage. I always liked the Jug and never felt it recieved the proper credit due to it. The darn P-51 took all the fame. The P-47 could take more punishment carry a bigger load and had two more 50 cals.. Thanks for sharing.

You should find the book "THUNDERBOLT." It's by Robert Johnson, one of the leading P47 fighter pilots in WWII, who flew in the 56th Fighter Group--Zemke's Wolfpack--with Gabby Gabreski, the leading ace in the 8th AAF. My neighbor--who was a Jug crew chief in the 56th, recommended it to my dad and I, and we both LOVED it.
