That's a long way Warren, why not go get it, fix it up and drive it home?

Otherwise you can utilize uShip - The Online Shipping Marketplace - Ship Freight, Furniture, Cars or Moves to have haulers bid on your need for transport.

Our wonderful website has an area titled "Transportation Needs" where you can post a thread with your hauling requirements. However I have not had much response in the few times I have used it.

You stationed in SD or live there? I am from 92107 originally. My dad worked at Point Loma for many years.

For the cost of shipping a deuce from WI to CA will run you a full load and about 4 bucks a mile! I would have got one a tad closer to home If I had to have it shipped. I just picked two up from TX and we drove them back to WI (1200 miles) and it still ran me about $1K per truck in fuel

:ditto:

With fuel cost getting close to $4 a gallon, trucking is getting expensive.

Congrads on the truck, they seemed like some decent deals today. If you decide to drive, I am around 130 miles west of Sparta off I-90. Maintenance facility or just a break from the drive. Otherwise I will mention this to a friend of mine who is in the trucking business as well. Dean

Both ... Gimp and I kick ass and are two wild and crazy guys!

If your so tough, why don't you go get Warrens truck and drive it to Cali for him, tough guy.:driver:

Me, my father-in-law, and my uncle-in-law just drove 3 trucks we purchased from Roger in London, OH to Oregon. All three trucks made it (2600 miles) no problems. Got to know each truck very well over the trip and it was an experience to remember. Some parts are fuzzy (hotel bars)... Good luck on your long distance recover. I vote for driving it home. If you run into trouble there are lots of MV guys here that could lend a hand and worst case you put truck in storage and rent a car to go home (worst case). Just remember to have plenty of tools, supplies, and do pre-checks.

Remember post pictures of the truck asap! ;)

I have seen some very nice trucks out your way . You should not be smokin that stuff before bidding . I believe it is going to cost you another two trucks to get it to you . I would sell it were it sits and buy one in better shape closer and maybe even cheaper .

Maybe you could arrange/pay for a few members to drive it a few hundred miles a turn to get it a little closer, or at least off the lot.

If it comes through El Paso let me know. I can serve as a rest stop or a driver to maybe Phoenix or so. I know a few guys out that way who may be willing to drive it the rest of the way to San Diego.

it's going to be a tough decision what to do. I had the same issue when I needed to recover my deuce. I ended up driving there with a f350, dual tandem goose neck and got a cdl (without the air endorsement). trip there was fast. Trip back... not so much! Max speed 60. 4 hours into the trip back I called my wife to tell her that i finally passed someone..... a fully loaded U-Haul truck pulling a auto transport. She was so proud of me!
