Finished a transmission install, swapped a bad airpack, washed one of the other deuces and M105A2's in preparation for Zout's picnic.

Good call - this is on my to-do list as well. It doesn't fully engage until the handle is pulled all the way to the top, I never feel like I get it all the way set. Did you adjust at the handle or at the drum?
At the drum, backed off the handle first. Should be good for a couple of years now. Shoes look new still..

Aired up the tires today. I plan to replace four tires tomorrow.

Had some hard starting issues this winter so I had it behind the barn so I could work on It. Put the recovered drives seat cushion back on. Never got to check out the hard starting problem. Had to work on another truck. So I moved it about 100 yard's to It's normal parking spot. Not much seat time.

Nifty tranny lift device clinto, can I borrow it?
I don't know, I am kind of fond of it; it was NOS when I got it.

But you can come down here and bring your deuce and I'll help you swap it..... in return for some liquid refreshments

Clinto did you make that trans lift or is that military issue.Thats nice.

It is the official GI hoist for transmissions and transfers. Rated for 1K pounds.

Very nifty.

And I'll testify that baby works like a charm. I borrowed mine from Club Member Gamagoat1, when I did my recent tranny swap.
As for what I did this week on the Deuce, absolutely nothing. Unfortunately I buggered up my back Wednesday afternoon, and haven't been out in the shop since. I hope She doesn't think I forgot about Her.

Well Twright and JoeM62 worked on mine. Changed a dogbone, added emergency brake spring and c-clip, installed new supercord, changed fuel filters, swapped a leaking wheel cylinder, installed new batteries. There was some more but I just can't think of it off the top of my head right now. Tomorrow they are taking it on a shackdown cruise for 30-40 miles!

By the way thanks guys![thumbzup]

This week has been full of projects for us. We had to deal with some down falls of our new deuce, but we expected some of these. We straightened the battery box tray, put our fiberglass top on the right way (it was installed improperly in the show), changed the fluid in the rear differential, tightened all the bolts and nuts which were loose all throughout the truck, added some lock washers so the nuts would quit falling off, fell off hood of deuce lol, drove it a lot, and tried to work on some of the electrical but still can't figure that out. We still have a few things we need to do bt we are moving right along with it considering we have only had it for a week and one day.[thumbzup]

Adjusted brakes, replaced front tires, fabed up headache rack, added tripple light bar to rear, and have had a lot of hay chaff to sweep out of everything from a lot of hauling last week.
