I finally finished mounting my M66 gun ring on my M35A3. I did it by myself which was very difficult and not advised. Also I ran into some difficulties. Installing a gun ring on an A3 is more difficult than an A2 because of the exhaust stack. Also, the cutouts in the cab reinforcement plate installed by AM General did not line up very well with the u-bolts which made tightening the nuts a real chore. I have a John Deere 5520 tractor with forks and that made the job much easier. I also used the forks on the tractor to press the right front leg into the receptacle.

I had the same problems withthe exhaust in the way , also had to press the front leg into the mount with the bucket of my bobcat . My holes in the cab plate were ok on mine . A2 was easier then the A3 .

Thanks for the inspiration! I've put the legs on the Deuce, but haven't go the ring on her yet. Gotta get that .50 put together too!

I'm jealous....drool... I want an A3 so bad. Then an M998, HEMTT, 5 Ton 900 series, and an FMTV.

Nice install, looks good. Any thoughts about mounted a fake 50 cal?

What's a ball park figure that these sell for? Thanks for posting the pics.
The prices for M66 rings are all over the place as is condition and completeness. I know of one person that said he only paid $500.00 for everything, which is very low, but that was two years ago. The most expensive I've heard anyone pay was $7K and I don't know what it included or the condition. Remember, you also need a cab reinforcement plate if you don't already have one. Your cab will be damaged without one.
