I have a question about oil Pressure.
When I start my deuce the oil pressure comes up in about 2 sec.
and when I am run down the road the gauge goes past 60psi on the gauge.
Is a high oil pressure bad or a sign of something bad?

Thanks!

I am betting you have the wrong sending unit. With the 60 gauge and the 120 Sending unit or vice versa it will do that. I had the 120 gauge and the 60 sending unit and it would max it out

You start to get oil pressure in 2 seconds? On a multifuel?
Yes I do get oil pressure in a very short time, 2-3 sec. I do not have a spin on filters, want to get them some day soon.
The other A2 I have it takes like 10 sec. for the pressure to come up.

I did change the gauge when I redid the inside, but I went from a 60psi to a 60 psi.
Will need to check this new gauge and see if it is working right.

Thanks for all the help and ideas!!![thumbzup]

I put the old gauge back in the truck and it reads 55 psi.
At idle the new gauge reads 45psi.

Mine's reading very near 60 when driving, and about 50 while idling. After a while it'll go down to 35 while idling, but jumps right back up to near 60 when driving.

When I first picked it up it only ran about 10 while idle and 30 on the road. Is this right? Or is this a sign of bad things to come? High oil pressure doesn't bother me as much as low, but something just doesn't seem right. Could it be a blockage somewhere that is creating a sort of "bottleneck" in the oil-flow system?

Thanks,

James
