There is a Blue aluminum thing that is covered up with a plasitic sheild on my 1028's inner fender. WHAT IS IT? It looks to be a heat sink of some sort with wires atached to it. I know i need to get picks but i forgot today, sorry.

The Duvac was supposed to provide a stable 12v source to charge the front battery and provide 12v power for the 12v accessories in the truck. All M1010s had this setup and some M1028 shelter carriers came with it as well.

The DUVAC is why it never charged right! I dont think I have talked to or heard of anyone with a working DUVAC system. There were tricks or hacks to try and make it function, but even those had limited success. I installed a sure power battery equalizer in my M1010 to solve the issue and replace the duvac. In the M1028, without a shelter you could ( and maybe have already ) convert the truck to a standard CUCV setup without much risk.

dosnt even have a V8 in it anymore, i was just curious on what it was. I want to make the truck 24v (its 12v now). Cant this be done with one 24v alt and a bat equalizer?

Sure, but why? From your sig line, if its the same truck, I'd say you have deviated pretty far from the stock setup.
