It was fun. Once we got thru base security( Lame) it was so nice to see all the iron.. Justin was a great help. We drove around and found Mike( the forkilift guy) another very nice person , We located teh M101A2 , looked at her, oh she is nice, and proceeded to preview some other Iron. After about 30 minute off BS and drooling we loaded the trailer onto ours, secured it and brought it home. Here are some pics for you all.:jumpin:

Looks nice! Bet it was even nicer before the forklift and the tattoos installed by the GL / DRMO folks.

I guess that is like a scar to us., It adds character. Now I can ask a bunch of silly questions about trailers.. Nahh. I did replace the lights with new ones. Now I just need to conquer the scary part. Rewire the pig.

Even with the crazy week I have had thia week ,today I decided to completly remove the Miltary lights and put aftermarkets on. Removing the old harness took longer than installing the new one, but very pleased to have functionable lights and legal .I did have a 55 dollar boo boo with the led lights I put on the first time. The wires were not secured as they should have been and sparks a flew, blew them babies right up.

Thanks! I used Rustolium Oil Paint. The color is Earth Red! I also drilled three more drainage holes in the front of the bed in order to prohibit the rust coming back.. I am going to add some black to the bed once it cools down a bit..

I bet that used to have a generator mounted in it from the holes drilled in the bed, and the stabilizer jack on the ass end; unless ALL M101 trailers had that jack...

Just did some work to one at work just like this with the jack, except it had 2 3kw generators mounted in the bed.

I guess it could have some bolted down. I did notice that around the holes the Metal was popping up some. I just bammed it with a body hammer and it sucked in.

Cool, I was looking at sealing all the seams good with seam sealer and then spraying in the durabak bedliner in smooth olive and adding a bit of walnut shell on the first coat. I might try it on my A1 before I sell it. At least someone will end up with a nice new bedliner and new paint job.
