need help fuel problem!

my deuce will go about 10 miles then it will start buckin like it was runnin out of fuel, it will shut down it a few secs. The fuel return line are all empty. i though it might have been the filters where clogged up. I put new ones in today and it did the same thing. i pulled over and all the lines had no fuel in them again i let the intank pump run until oil come out of the bleeder screw then it fired right up and ran fine, does any one have any ideas what it could be causeing this. o and i run 100% wmo have been for while now. i flush the lines and run a tank of gas or diesel through it from time to time this is the first time the truck has givin me any problems. it has done this every time i drive it now.

How much fuel is in your tank. Make sure it is at least half full, try again.

If it works, it might have an air leak in the in tank fuel pump.

Sounds like a lift pump or fuel pick-up issue to me. You can't totally rule out the IP, though, until you trouble shoot the rest.

I have ran WMO but never just WMO. I would think it's gotten to the point of being too think for one of the pumps. I would start by thining it out with diesel, bleed all your fuel lines and then start it and make sure all the injector lines are carrying fuel. If the problem persist after that check the hydraulic head. I had mine go and had to rebuild it. Also did you check the intank hose on the pump? There was a member here not long ago that had that hose rot out. WMO is more acidic than diesel so that is something to look at also. Doesn't take much of a hole and no fuel will make it out of the tank. Best of luck to you.

You are sucking air at your primary filter.
Clean the bolt seat, put in a new can gasket and tighten the poop out of it.

I was stranded. I have noticed that it does it alot around half a tank. I do believe it is a air leak. Sorry I tried to change the title but dont know how. I will pull the pump out and go from there.

Have you taken your intank pump out and inspected the main feed line? I bet not.
That main feed line may be rotted, fallen off, ect.

Is your tank vented or your cap vented? Have you tried to loosen the cap and run it?

yea i cleaned them out and cleaned the pump it drove like a dream on the way home from work.

Do you still have the strainer in the tank filler hole. I have made a habit of trying to remember to take the filler cap off and just give a quick check for anything that doesn't look quite right. Lower fuel level than expected, spilled fuel around the filler opening that wasn't there before. Now a days you just never know.
