I am starting a thread to show my slow long progress on my Deuce. It is an 1987 AM General Air Force Deuce. It has the split brake system which I really like for peace of mind. I first got it back in December of 2009. Played with it a little then started with the front end tear-down to get all new seals, boots and wheel cylinders. I then singled out and replaced all the rear wheel seals and wheel cylinders also. Sand blasted all the wheels and put some nice 11.00 X 20's on it.
Then decided to go all out and repaint everything with nothing left unturned. I removed fenders, front bumper, doors, windshield frame, and a bunch more. Blasted most of these parts and repainted them. Didnt want to install the freshly painted items on the dirty frame and undercarriage. So I Then decided to put Gantry crane to good use and removed the bed and the cab. Spent most of the day power washing and hope to get some primer on maybe next week. I need more time in a day.......
Here are the pics I have so far and I hope you all enjoy. The first one is the day I got it and the last one is of my little helper I will post more pictures as I get further along.
