Transformer Oil/Diesel in CUCV

I aquired a couple of 55 gallon drums of transformer oil from work and wondered if anybody has burned it in a CUCV?
I thought I would try a little at first, and work my way up, pending the results.

Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Transformer Oil

Transformer oil works great in most all diesels I know of. Just make sure that
nothing else was mixed in such as solvents and water. Sometimes transformer rebuilders will put in anything that pours.

Otherwise you should be good to go; just strain out the junk if any.

Good luck,
Orren

Just be sure that the oil is free of polychlorinated biphenils (PCB's).. This dielectric fluid has been banned since the late 70's. because it is highly toxic..

The flash point of standard mineral transformer oil is 284 degrees F, so I don't know if I would burn this in a diesel..

The oil is used, under 5 years old, and we use it in an electro magnet that we build at work. Typically, when we rebuild them, and it takes 10 to 12 barrels of oil to refill them once they have been rebuilt. Other than some water from condinsation, there's no solvents used.
