When my unit got the cucv's back in the day. The motorpool made aluminum board key fobs for all of then with no desination for any of them, until the orderly room got all of them for issue. I asked the motorpool Sgt. about this and he said the powers to be desided all cucv's have the same key. Do to the fact most of the drivers are not even 20 years old and locking keys inside has been an issue. Made sense to me. He also told me I was not alowed to tell anyone about this. I guess the secrete is out.......I know its been some time ago. Chain and pad lock was also required on the steering wheel, spare tire and any other "box" for tools. Guess what all the pad locks were also the same in the same in the platoon. same reason.
