I will guess it is a CUCV but if so why is there any sealant issues since there is no sealant used on these windshields? It is a rubber gasket and zip in style band to keep pressure to prevent leaks. If you are fixing the rust, I would just put a new gasket and seal in and be done with it.

I did a searh and found nothing, I just removed my windsheild for rust repair and paint. Is there an easy way to remove the old sealent?

Thanks

The windshields were glued with a buytl caulking type of sealer. Or they used the old strip caulking. When we replace windshields on vehicles we just cut the old sealer flat as close to the body as possible then recaulk and lay on the winshield. On the areas you have repaired you should prime and paint and let cure first. The windshield sealer is available at most autozones and others and is applied with a caulking gun. It usually takes one tube to do a windshield. If the windshield has a trim piece then you press it in before the glue dries. Put a couple strips of heavy masking tape on the top to keep the windshield from sliding and let it sit for a day or two.
