1009 new tailgate regulator

Just got my new regulator today my old one worked perfect until I put new weatherstripping in the window channel. A friend told me about this parts place (thanks Chuck) that sold these regulators $154.00 including shipping still in the GM packaging looks like I will have to install it tomorrow after work.

I'm thinking of casting a clutch in brass using my lead furnace to melt the brass I just have to make a sand mold some how! Those pot metal ones they sell are junk.

I think the only way to do that is to machine one instead of the cast ones they produce now but that might be the weak link on pourpose to prevent stripping the gear in the regulator.
