Several questions about M35A3

Does this version have any engine management system, i.e. engine computer, or any electronic engine/transmission controls? If yes, are they prone to problems?

I assume you can use manual lockout hubs on the front axles of this deuce, just like on the A2 versions.

Have they upgraded the braking system in any way, or is it identical to A2 type?

No electronic nothing. Mechanical injection, tranny shift, etc. The only microprocessor is in the much maligned CTIS and most folks receive their truck with it disconnected, broken or both.

A3 has dual circuit air assisted hydraulic brakes and that is a significant safety improvement over the A2 single circuit brakes. The A3 also has air assist steering which when properly maintained, is a real help in low speed maneuvers like parking lots and corners at a traffic light.
