Tagging my M35A3

Well, I got my license plate tags for the new M35A3 today. The local registration office had to call in and ask what are requirements for a title and they were told titles are not issued for M35A3's so looks like I am getting in the same situation as others in Georgia where every office puts out different information. My wife went up without a SF97 so I'm sure there will not be a problem once mine comes in.

I now can take her out on the road safely without concern for getting pulled over unnecessarily without a tag. My rear end gives a wobble which I am slowly eliminating and I need to take it out now and get it to a truck tire shop and have a tire reversed that was mounted on backward from the other five. Hopefully that, along with some extra lug nuts opposite the CTIS will help out some. Anybody had any of the problems with wobble resolved by reversing the tires and turning them all in the same direction. I've read some other threads where this was posed as a possible solution but the final result was not published, as far as I can tell. Heres the deuce...

Those tires are 10+ years old and they have been sitting a very long time. With that in mind; I would say that have some flat spots in them. I doubt that wobble will go away with out replacing the tires. As a matter of fact those 14.5 are prone to blow outs. Do your self a favor and replace all of them.

In the Perry office, they seemed to be a little confused as to how to go about it. They made a call and got some bad advice, saying they don't title these larger Military Vehicles. I would probably have better luck in the WR office. I did not have a SF97 with me. It will be a while before I am able to obtain it. So, I just got the license plate (tag) for now.

I'm not overly concerned for now. I just need to get my SF97 and bring it to WR.

I did loose some of the shake after some miles (about 800 miles) were put on the truck . I also had one missing ctis counterweight . If I drive it as much as I did last summer I will be putting new tires on this fall . The tires will wear quick . The rears faster then the fronts from scruffing . Rotating tires should be done often , but man what a job .
Truck looks good , would like to see the sides .

plewhiskey,
Were those recaps?

Reason why I ask is those long retangular strips coming off the tire, and they don't look perpendicular to the tire rotation like belts would normally be.
